SpaceXSI folds X Premium, Grok and Cursor into one five-tier subscription

The new X Subscription bundles social, chat and coding tools in plans from free to $200 a month, rolling out first in the U.S.

Key points

  • SpaceXSI merged X Premium, Grok and Cursor into one plan, "The X Subscription," with five tiers: free, Plus $8, Premium $30, Super $100, Ultra $200 per month.
  • The free tier has limited chat and agent use; Premium or higher is needed for the latest Grok models.
  • X says each plan gives more usage per dollar than the comparable plan it replaces; Premium+ subscribers pay the same or less.
  • Rollout is gradual by region, starting in the U.S.; current subscribers can keep their plan or switch.

Why it matters for marketers: AI tools, coding help and social features now share one bill, so teams on X can compare one tiered price against separate AI subscriptions.

SpaceXSI, the company formerly known under other names including SpaceXAI, has combined its paid products into a single plan called The X Subscription. It covers X Premium perks such as the verified checkmark, creator tools and fewer ads, along with Grok for chat, voice, images, video and API access, Grok's agent bot, and the Cursor coding tool. SpaceXSI acquired Cursor in August, according to Social Media Today.

The plan has five tiers. Pricing runs from free to Plus at $8 a month, Premium at $30, Super at $100 and Ultra at $200, with AI usage caps rising at each step. The free tier limits chat and agent requests, and the latest Grok models require Premium or above. X says every plan offers more usage per dollar than the plan it replaces, and that Premium+ subscribers get a comparable tier at the same price or less.

For marketers and content teams, the change turns a handful of separate purchases into one ladder. Teams that pay for X Premium to run brand accounts, and also use AI for drafting, research or code, can now weigh a single bill against separate subscriptions from rivals such as OpenAI and Anthropic. TechCrunch frames the bundle as an attempt to draw more subscribers in a crowded paid AI market.

The upgrade will reach users gradually, region by region, starting in the U.S. Existing subscribers can stay on their current plan or switch from their billing settings on X, and can link their Grok, Cursor and X accounts. Teams should check those settings for the offer and compare the usage limits on each tier against their actual workload before moving.
