Google AI Mode adds booking and quote links for home service pros

Home service businesses can now receive AI Mode requests through partner platforms, but eligibility and fees depend on which platform they use.

Key points

  • Google AI Mode now shows booking and quote links for home service pros through Angi, Thumbtack, Housecall Pro and Jobber, available in the U.S. now, per Google's Robby Stein.
  • Jobber says eligible U.S. customers can take AI Mode requests now with no lead fees; Housecall Pro also promises no lead fees, but its integration is listed as coming soon.
  • Jobber requires a paid subscription, a full address and a Google Business Profile at the same location; Housecall Pro says no profile is required.
  • ServiceTitan is listed as coming soon, and Thumbtack had not issued an AI Mode announcement as of Nov. 4.

Why it matters for marketers: For home service businesses, the software or marketplace they use now decides whether Google's AI search can send them bookings, and what each request may cost.

Google has started letting home service businesses take bookings and quote requests that begin in AI Mode, routed through partner platforms. Search product VP Robby Stein announced the feature on X, naming Angi, Thumbtack, Housecall Pro and Jobber, with ServiceTitan to follow. It is available in the U.S.

The path in differs by platform. Jobber says eligible customers can receive requests now, with no lead fees, provided they have a paid subscription, a full address, and a Google Business Profile connected at the same location. A "Book Online" button then links to the business's Jobber booking form. Housecall Pro says users are auto-enrolled at no extra charge and need no Google Business Profile, though its integration is described as coming soon. Angi sends homeowners to the pro's Angi profile to request a quote.

The fee question matters. Google's own Local Services Ads count a booking request as a chargeable lead in the U.S. and Canada, while Jobber and Housecall Pro say AI Mode requests carry no lead fee. Angi's announcement does not say whether its usual match fees apply to quote requests that start in AI Mode.

Qualifying for a platform does not guarantee visibility. Stein's post does not explain how Google picks which businesses to show. Jobber's help page suggests that collecting client reviews and using a booking form rather than a simple request form can improve how often a business is recommended.

Businesses should check that their platform addresses match their Google Business Profile, confirm whether their account is eligible, and watch Thumbtack and ServiceTitan for updates. A business on none of the listed platforms currently has no route to direct AI Mode bookings.
